Georgia's Pollack Wins Inaugural Lott Trophy 12/13/2004 - Football Senior defensive end David Pollack was awarded the inaugural Lott Trophy Sunday night by the Pacific Club in Newport Beach, Calif. Named for NFL Hall of Fame member Ronnie Lott, the accolade is given to the IMPACT Defensive Player of the Year.Recognizing a player's success both on and off the field, IMPACT is an acronym for Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity. Basketball Freshman Tasha Humphrey scored 19 of her 21 points in the second half and No. 11 Georgia beat No. 24 Arizona 70-62 on Sunday. Basketball Levi Stukes scored a career-high 31 points, including a go-ahead 3-pointer with 1:50 left in overtime that carried Georgia to a 76-74 victory over Oregon State on Saturday. Four Bulldogs named to SEC All-Freshman Team 12/9/2004 - Football Georgia's Thomas Brown, Danny Ware, Chester Adams and Andy Bailey were named to the Southeastern Conference Coaches' All-Freshman Team on Thursday. Brown and Ware were the two running backs chosen for the All-Freshman Team. Brown, a native of Tucker, led the Bulldogs with 764 yards and seven touchdowns during the regular season. More>>
